The Daily Habit Redux … Stupidly Inexpensive and Mysterious

Ok, first off, here’s the correct address
6045 Mission, Daly City on the SF border. It is a half a block up from Sugar Bowl

This place has Just Dessert quality pastries (when it was good) at the lowest prices in the Bay area.

For $4.25 I got a cinnamon stick, a blueberry scone, a ham and cheese croissant and a large excellent cup of coffee. Get anything with blueberries at this place. They are plump and generous. Nice cinnamon stick.

The croissant was more bready than flakey, but there was a really generous filling of ham and cheese. This was a meal in itself.

The mystery is what this place is all about. Open only briefly in the mornings on Monday thru Friday, there was a group putting together lunches. I asked if they did catering and got a terse “yes” and the person went back to chopping. It seems to me the kitchen is used by roving caterers. Similar lack of info when asking about the bakery.

Good stuff and great prices if you are in the area at the right time. Vastly superior to Sugar Bowl.
