Cut onion on carbon steel?

macsandindianfood | Nov 12, 2013 11:01 AM

Hi All,

I have seen videos of cooks rubbing a half of a cut onion on cast iron frypans to enhance the non stick ability. However, I have a De Buyer carbon steel pan. I am wondering if this would help or hinder the seasoning on the carbon steel pan? Afraid to try it until I know :-)
