Curry House

I tried a Japanese curry place called Curry House on La Cienega's restaurant row the other night. For those who have never been to a restaurant specializing in Japanese-style curry, it's an interesting experience. The curries come in seafood, chicken, beef, vegetable, and spicy ginger chicken, which I had. They are served over rice or spaghetti. They are like thick gravies and the curry doesn't taste like either Indian or Thai curry but more like British curry. One thing I liked was that they had Anchor Steam beer on tap, available in three different sized glasses. Why can't other restaurants do this? There are also a few salads and soups, but really, curry is the thing here. It's almost all Japanese people, not surprisingly, since it's a bit of an acquired taste. I'm not sure I'll be rushing back there, but if you're looking for an unusual, reasonably priced and seemingly very authentic experience, check out the Curry House.
