Cranberry = Borlotti = Romano?

Tara9000 | Feb 11, 2008 12:34 PM

I'm trying to figure out if these beans are all the same type. I love 'romano' beans, but barely hear anything about them outside of Toronto/Canada. Meanwhile, I hear a lot about 'cranberry' beans in US sources, but have never seen them here.

Here are two brands of romano beans, widely available in my area:

And I threw borlotti in the mix, because they look similar as well. Can anyone set me straight? :) Thanks!
