Seeing the recent string on Craigs reviews reminded me I've been meaning to post this question. Maybe Mike Klein can help.
I read Laban every week and think his "noise level" ratings are "right on". I don't care how great the food is, (really), if I can't hear the person across the table from me during a conversation, I'm not going back. (Hence, I'm not at Stephen Starr's restaurants).
He states that 70 decibels is considered normal. Yet, I'm not sure I can remember more than 5 restaurants that he has rated at least 2 bells that had levels of that or less.
Can anyone remember, say 10 of them, that got 70 or below?
