Had a fabulous time at Craftbar last night!
The setting is relaxed, yet still hip and fun. I had the appetizer special of mushroom and hearts of palm salad. Absolutely fabulous! It was all carmelized, which helped to create an intense and flavorful start.
For my entree I had fish (I can't remember what!) with porcini mushroom and white asparagus. Also, very good.
However, the things that amazed me most were the blood orange sorbet (which they brought to our table by mistake but let us keep for no charge - very classy). This was truly delicious. I also had the best breadsticks I have ever encountered. I can't figure out what gave them such a flavor, but, be warned, once you have one, you won't be able to stop.
The server was knowledgable and very polite.
Not the best meal I've ever had in Manhattan, but it was a pleasant experience for a decent price.
