Well, some just to get it started.
Waterless cookware strikes again! Because it will form a tight seal and hence a vaccuum, I thought maybe I could avoid heating up the kitchen by using my waterless cookware out in the blazing sun today.
Rinsed a bunch of asparagus and put into the dutch oven pot, put the lid on, turned on the gas just for about 25 seconds to heat the water clinging to the asparagus. When the lid was too hot for the palm of my hand to touch, took the pot outside and sat it in the sun. Waited 10 minutes (fiddled around here) and broke the seal. et viola!
Asparagus perfectly done and still nice green color.
Now I'm going to do some shrimp and have a nice salad for lunch.I knew there had to be an upside to this heat today (97)!
Anyone else use old time technology to cook with, besides campfires?
