I am looking at the White Mountain 4quart with the motor, which is an ice and rock salt method to making....it gets very mixed reviews, but seems to make a better custard style ice cream than the gel canister models. Also, I don't like the fact that you have to chill the gel canister for a full day before hand on those models.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good compression style ice cream maker? Hoping to spend under $250, but anywhere in the range for a good product is acceptable. Thanks a lot!
