I just picked up my first copy of it and was excited by what appeared to be a magazine devoted to healthy but delicious food.
However, "Clean Eating" left me cold. After reading the whole thing I feel like it mentions brand names a bit too much and is written around product placements.
Since this is the first issue I've read I was wondering what others thought.
Also, what magazines/publications do you tend to read for good recipes that are more on the healthy side?
Not the ones that constantly call for fat-free cheeses and artificial sugar substitutes....rather, using seasonal ingredients and various staples (i.e. not just wheat pasta but other grains). While I like reading Cook's Illustrated and Saveur I feel that their recipes are not necessarily ones I'd make on a regular basis due to dietary restrictions (namely needing to limit refined grains, sugar and dairy).
There was a magazine a few years back that was very interesting (may have been vegetarian oriented, I am not sure) but have not seen it in a while so assume it is no longer in print. Sorry I can't remember its name!
