Today's question -- where would you send someone who needs a table for 13 but doesn't want a rectangle/separate tables? This is for a holiday party on Jan 3. They did Chinese last year (round tables a no brainer) but were hoping for a bit more ambiance this year (especially in the lighting department). I thought of Quattro on Fourth for a corner table though we stopped going a year and a half ago when the quality seemed to take a severe dip. I'm otherwise drawing a blank.
If you can think of somewhere that would be willing to put tables together to make a big square, that would work too. The idea is for everyone in the group to be able to converse relatively easily with everyone else across the table space.
Budget is $30-40 a head plus wine/beverages. Cuisine is pretty open.
