I forgot to mention my latest BBQ encounter in Boston at Chris's BBQ on Dorchester Ave. I only had the pork rib dinner, so I can't comment on the rest of the menu, but the ribs were quite good and flavorful. I'll need to make a few more visits to rate it on an absolute BBQ scale, but on this preliminary visit, it seems to rank way better than Redbones, and competes with Blue Ribbon. The best surprise at Chris's (and the reason why I'm writing) is the hot sauce they make there. They brew their own hot sauce, and boy is it good. Medium spiced and vinegary like your louisiana hot sauce but way more flavor. They didn't have a lot there but it might be worth sneaking a small container of the stuff. I was tempted to go back and do just that with my own squeeze bottle.
