Serious chowhounds in DC with non-chow hound family

Hi,

My wife and I are really into food, and living in WV we take every advantage we get to try new foods and old foods that we like whenever we're away from home. We come to the DC area a few times a year, and always go to Ethiopian in Adams Morgan or Korean in Annandale. SO, we'll be in the DC area with our less adventurous family (brother, mother, sister-in-law, two kids under 7, one 2 year old) and would like to find a good asian buffet that would have a little something for everyone. The kids are happy with rice, chicken or fruit. We don't want to scare anybody with nothing they'll recognize, but we also want to be able to have some good choices for our tastes. Any suggestions? We like the Peruvian chicken places too, and I love Salvadoran food. Any suggestions for a good sit down place of either type? These wouldn't scare them at all. The chicken carries out nicely so we may just carry it back to the hotel. Thanks in advance. We've gotten a lot of good tips from this board in the past! Is the Burmese place (myanamar?)still open out in Fairfax County somewhere?
