Going for southern french food tonight, likely a cassoulet / duck confit. I'm looking at what I have on hand to drink with it, but I have less French wines than i usually do in stock, any clear winner, I'm looking to try something new (but that I have in stock), so that I haven't tried?
I have a Michel Rolland 2009 (I believe mostly Merlot with some Cab). Also, a Chateau Bujan 2008 (Cotes de Bourg), the 2007 was great, I'm wondering if it too early to drink the 2008? I also have a Deveze 66 2007 that I am looking forward to, but it is from the Languedoc-Roussillon region, and maybe too fruity for this. Otherwise, I can go with either a Chateau Lamothe 2007 or 2008, can't remember (Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux) or a Chateau Lousteauneuf 2008 (Medoc).
Any clear winners?
