About two years ago walked into a place on a busy corner in Chinatown. If memory serves correctly, had to walk into the kitchen to get to stairs that lead up to dining rooms. Went up 2 or 3 flights of stairs. Up on the level where we found a table, a frantic waitress was constantly shouting down a dumbwaiter and busying glasses, silverware. She seemed to do a tremendous amount of work despite the fact that the food came very slowly and there were only a few tables. It was a bizarre, highly theatrical display of temperament, both surprising and entertaining.
The menu was brief; everyone seemed to be ordering roughly the same thing, some kind of simple noodle dish that was pleasant enough and had a distinct flavor.
So, can anyone name the place and give me your impressions?
