Chieftain Cheeseburger...

It's been almost a year since I've gone back to this pub, but from the moment I stepped in the memories were revived. the wood paneling, the just lit enough ambiance, and the burger...this has to be the ultimate burger, and the perfect hangover cure. I've been under the illusion that St. John's in Sunnyvale (I live in the south bay so this is closer) was a satisfying replacement, but oh I was so wrong. St. John's holds its own with their prefectly grilled burgers, thick cut bacon, crumbled blue cheese, and fresh baked buns...however the Chieftain Cheeseburger is what legends are made out of.

It starts off as a innocent looking $8 burger. Bun, Patty, Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Sliced Onions. Then you add the extras. You have to order this burger with EVERYTHING, yes that means the fried egg as well. Layer up on layer of decadence. Fried Egg, Sauteed Mushrooms, Carmelized Onions, Crumbled Blu Cheese, Smoked Bacon, and a optional second patty. Scrumptious.

Words are simply not enough, and i can't figure out how to post a picture here, so the pictures are here.

served with a side of thick cut fries, drizzle with malt vinegar and you have real pub food.
