You know the type, the kind of Japanese Restaurants where everything seems like they're in the 80s. Heavy on the Teriyaki dishes, some Rolls/Nigiri, and of course the Tempura and Sukiyaki.
Old school decor that hasn't changed forever...a sort of Japanese "comfort" food.
I went to Tokyo Hibachi a few weeks ago in Lakewood....food was so-so, but felt tremendous nostalgia. There used to be Magoo's on Centinela in Culver City-ish but they closed up.
