Cheesecake Factory

I had to go to the CF at Old Orchard for a business dinner last week. I was unimpressed with this chain.
Factory may be the key word. The place is big, and it was packed. They have a large menu, half of it is advertisements for other businesses. I find that practice offensive. The equivalent of getting a phone solicitation during dinner at home.
I had a Sante Fe Salad which seemed to be prepared in advance. The lettuce was old and chicken dry, and it seemed compressed from being under plastic wrap. I was there with people who view food simply as fuel, and consider quantity to be the biggest appeal of a restaurant. So I couldn't tell from their comments about the quality of food. One woman did comment that the shrimp in the scampi was small and had a metallic taste. I'd compare the place to Chili's.
My vote for Kabul House down on Dempster was laughed down. No more business dinners for me.
Anybody have good experiences with this place?
Someone once told me never eat in a motel, or sleep in a restaurant. I think I'll add never eat in a mall.

I passed up the Factory Cheesecake and hit the Village Creamery on the way home. The Macapuna with young coconut was very good, almost too rich.
