Who would like to weigh in on inexpensive but nice eats in MOntreal. I have one here that I like that I will present here. But love to hear more.

POTATA POTATI: This has very interesting and a very inexpensive menu. Burgers were size of sliders but at $2 a pop, very reasonable. Well cooked on a grill with nice condiments and sauces that they have developed. Presentation and service were great both times I was there. $2.75 for a hot dog, was so-so. Roast beef dish was excellent with a home made sauce that was rich and pretty good. They made it with a pork reduction, wine and chicken stock, but I don't think they made the pork reduction themselves. They thickened it with corn starch and not it's own natural thickening agent; what do you want for $5. Poutine was great. Long line at times to get into this tiny place with only 3 tables and two counters. But worth it. Cheerful place too.
