Sat. was my lucky day. Went to the Cabrillo College Aptos Farmer's Market as I often due when hanging out in Santa Cruz. New to me is a not-to-be-missed stand -- LA MAREA OF THE SEA.
Mostly they have raw oysters to slurp. But fortunately I spied someone with a plate that sparkled of freshness, and learned that the family-run stand also was offering incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious ceviche tostada made from a mix of halibut and tilapia. In particular, I loved the crunchy bits of cucumber and chiles and some cilantro. But best of all was the housemade salsa fresca.
