Restaurants & Bars 8

Last night, my husband and I decided to try Centro. We frequently dine in Bethesda (love Rock Creek and Levante) . We sat down and before we knew it, the tables beside us wee being pushed together to seat 6. Okay, no problem. Then, two couples came in, one with a tiny baby, both with young sons. The two sons proceeded to yell and scream and kick, pretending to be Power Rangers. This went on and on while the wait staff detoured around these kids, and meanwhile the parents did nothing. Our meal was completely ruined and then the waitress seemed shocked when we asked for our check before any coffee or dessert. It's not the restaurant's fault that these people were so extremely rude, but to compound the problem by acting annoyed at our reaction was outrageous. I have no idea how my meal tasted, but I'll never return. If you don't have a kid friendly restaurant, then can't you at least seat people who insist on bringing kids in a corner, away from other diners? I have raisded two sons, one who is extremely hyper, but I would never insult fellow diners with that sort of behavior.
