Frank was planning to have an oyster loaf and fries for dinner tonight to celebrate the reopening of what's in our opinions the top fried seafood house in New Orleans, but reports instead the plywood message board out front now says 'opening on Nov. 17.'
Frank also says that Pepper's on Magazine, in he first block past Napoleon, is also open. In the past I had felt that Pepper's food was good but too garlicky (ca that be?) and the service was three stooges level.
Moving on uptown, Danny's #2 Fried Chicken, Lunch Plate, and Chinese Restaurant has reopened. Prices are about $2 per item higher.
There's a new place that opened recently called Alberta's in the block down from Xavier Prep. No reconnaissance conducted on Alberta's yet.
