I made a dish the other night that just seemed like it would work, and by Jove, it did! I sauteed some chopped onion, celery, and carrot in a little olive oil, then when they started to get tender I added cooked white beans and really good Italian canned tuna in oil (oil drained off first), as well as a couple of finely minced oil-cured anchovies. Heated just enough to warm the beans and tuna. Seriously delicious! And reheated beautifully the next day.
My question is, is this a known dish (or variation on one), or something quasi-new? What do I call it?
