Caffe Taci moving to Greenwich Village! OPERA CAFE

Miss Diva | Jan 9, 2005 12:47 PM

Hi All,

I am an opera singer who for the last 5 1/2 years has been a regular performer at Caffe Taci, an Italian restaurant and opera cafe in Morningside Heights.

As of last night, Caffe Taci is moving from the Upper West Side to a new location in Greenwich Village, specifically to 10 Waverly Place, near NYU.

Opera Nights will continue weekly, starting this Friday! Opera nights are now THURSDAY, FRIDAY and SATURDAYS, starting at 9pm. This week only there is no performance on Thursday.

10 Waverly Place is currently the home of a restaurant called Caffe Pane e Cioccolato. This restaurant remains, and will morph into Taci in the evenings.

The singers are mostly professionals, some artists having sung leading roles with opera companies such as the Chicago Lyric Opera and New York City Opera. Caffe Taci has seen a lot of its alumni to go on to illustrious careers, including Sondra Radvanovsky, who currently sings leading Verdi soprano roles at the Met.

I can't speak about the food yet, since I have not experienced it at the new address. So I leave that to YOU! Please come visit us, and for more information, please visit Caffe Taci's website: www.CaffeTaci.com
