Cafe Troia in Towson- Fantastic!

Went there on 6/7 for dinner. Had reservation and were seated immediately. Astoundingly, there was a jazz combo performing on the sidewalk out front in the 95+ degree heat. (They sounded great but there was no one there to hear them)
The waiter provided on-the-spot service, even recommending two different wines when the first we chose was not available. We had the delicious and expertly prepared beef carpaccio as an appetizer (from the specials list) followed by egg-less ceasar salad (without anchovy). I had the orchette pasta with sausage (an incredible feast at only $15) and husband had beef filet with gnocchi which he loved.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Competent service, always well-prepared food presented beautifully in a lovely dining area. They've been opened for years now (started in 1989 I think?) and with good reason. If you are looking for an above-average meal experience in Towson, this is the place to go.
We may go back for the jazz combo if the weather breaks. Quite something for Towson, I think...
Parking meters are in effect until 6pm- FYI. They do offer valet, which I've never used.
