Cafe Mundial - Monrovia

Went do celebrate mom's birthday at Cafe Mundial (no previous plans, just walking by) on a Friday night. Sat on the nice patio. Mom didn't want to "eat a lot" since she had a big lunch; I however, wanted to eat a lot since I did not have said big lunch. But that is beside the point.
Ahhh, Cafe Mundial. Great food - very impressed. We decided to share an entree, and she chose the Seafood Paella. Come to find out that if you share an entree, for $5 more, the second person gets their own soup or salad and you get "more vegetables". First, they served us some hummus with an onion foccacia-like bread - very tasty. I ordered the clam chowder (white of course) which was one of the best that I have ever had. Mom got the Caesar which was also fantastic. We each got out own plates of the Seafood Paella. It was truly delicious. It was served with a saffron-flavored risotto. The serving was a perfect size. Calamari, Mussels, Shrimp, Clams and Scallops, along with some veggies were all in the dish. I would definitely eat there again. I would like to try some of their other seafood dishes that sounded so tantilizing. See link below.
