W & M Cafe, Fremont report (w/ pics)

Had dinner 6/11/06 at W & M Cafe, 34420-D Fremont Blvd, Fremont 510-742-6669. It's been reported by others on the board so not much new-just it's still there and pretty good.

We got #4 Macau style roasted pork snack $5. Mom didn't like it said it was too fatty, I thought the skin was very crispy and the meat was good.

#58 Shrimp Wonton Soup large $5.25-lots of fat shrimp inside. 10 good size wontons with broth only. Good.

#114 Chicken w/ salted fish fried rice $7.50. Mom really liked the dish. Lots of tiny salted fish throughout, not a lot of chicken.

I ordered a chicken w/ vegetable chow fun w/ gravy (not pictured). They charged $6.95 so better to get the seafood & veggie I think. Huge pieces of chicken w/ only 2-4 green tender greens. Just an ok dish.

Maybe next time will try #3 steamed chicken for $5; the porridges $4.95, tofu flower dessert $2; fresh mango pudding $2.50..so many dishes to try, so little time.

Hope they can stay in business.
