Bye Bye Bobby C's

Hi Folk's,

First time poster, just found CH last week and have been playing catch up. I live in Richmond, quite near the Alvarado Lounge former home of Bobby C's Back Door BBQ. I never thought Bobby's had the BEST BBQ, but at a 5 minute drive, they often sufficed. I had a rib hankering last Saturday, and stopped by for a rib sandwich, poked my head in the back door and the first thing I noticed was a big pan of cornbread on the counter, and signs offering sides of collard greens, both new items for Bobby. I ordered a rib sandwich, short end please, and was informed that I wanted lunch! I said OK and can I get a side of beans please. Medium sauce on the ribs. As I was paying for my order the counter gal asks if I have the new phone number, I said no, and got a slip of paper with a number, and she wrote T's Back Door BBQ. Took my order home and, checked it out. Serving size was a little smaller but it cost a little less, so I was not perturbed. Ribs were good, tender and lightly smoked, sauce seemed the same as did the potato salad and beans. I did miss the leftovers tho', after my wife tried, "just one rib, I really don't want but a taste" I like to have some for a quick bite the next day. I guess next time I'll get a dinner!
Anyone know what happened to Bobby C???
