Thanx to whoever posted a note about this place a month or two ago--it was awesome. It is located exactly 9 miles south of downtown Spartanburg on Rt 56 (starts out as Union St) in a little gas station/convenience store complex--easy to pass up and no signs--when you get close to the 2600 block, slow down and look closely for it in the back next to the Pauline General Store. Nothing else near it.
All the offerings were great--the pulled pork 'cue, beans, slaw--the peach cobbler was the best I've had in years--had to take some of the 'cue and cobbler home (8 hrs away)--their sauce was a vinegary base, but a little thicker than most--perfect amount of spice and heat. Service was quick and very friendly. Small place--just 5 tables inside and 2 outside, and they close at 7PM, even on Friday and Saturday. Closed Sun and Mon.
Definitely worth scoping out. Can't wait to go back.
