A pickled medley of panchan: bright yellow turnip slices, sharp raw onions (tamed with a dip of pasty black bean sauce), moderately hot kimchee, cool crisp chunks of cucumber under a similar chilli pickling and snappy cubes of radish also chilli soaked.
Ganjajang is a generous bowl of bouncy noodles that exhibit a tiny bit of chewiness with an on-the-side sauce of rich and pleasantly oily black bean paste, stir-fried with a mountain of onions, sweet, pearly and slightly sharp, along with scattered small cubes of cucumber and pork. Good flavour on the sauce, although more beany intensity would be fine by me.
