hah!
now, we have our own bubble tea place.
it's on bedford down past N9 or N10.

Very cutesy modern decor with lush plantlife and
disturbing art.

I had a red bean ice cream bubble drink and my friend had a black tea with milk special which used tapioca pudding instead of the pearls. Unusual, but tasty. My drink (small size) was more than i could drink - especially with a side order of scallion pancake (chewy goodness) and pumpkin fritters - exceptionally rich and sweet. I could barely eat one in the order of six.

The toast was this weird dense sweet bread - not unlike the kind of bread you'll find in korea or japan - and came slathered with (our choice) chocolate and almond spread. Again, it was too sweet to finish the whole thing.

The crackers that came gratis might actually have been enough for a light snack. They were savory and buttery and perfect for tea.
