brunch questions

KathyH | Jul 11, 2011 11:45 AM

A friend and I are coming to the city to see a show first Saturday in August and want to do brunch beforehand.

I've done extensive searching on this board, have looked over dozens of websites and menus and came up with the following as possible brunch places.

Locanda Verde
Perilla
Prune
Spotted Pig
Little Owl

As to why I picked those places, I really don't know. I just get more and more confused as there are just a few restaurants in NYC. Checking out the menus they all have a few things on them that I'd order. Looking at reviews I see alot of good ones on the above, some negatives too.

We don't care so much about where in the city it is located as we are willing to grab a cab. We both love really good and interesting food. A restaurant with a good vibe, friendly staff is also a plus. If you can make a reservation that is a plus. But if they open early enough we'll just arrive early to give us time.

Any of the above places you'd pick over the other? Any other places not on the list you'd suggest.

Any help or guidance you can give us would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
