Brunch at Orange-Harrison Location

To concur with a post from a month ago, the French Toast Kabobs on skewers that my wife had were too dry. They need to dip it in some serious egg.

Other than that, it was a pretty good experience.

I had the Pancake flight with Carrot theme.

1)Pancakes served with toasted pecans and carrot anglaise.

Sweet creme anglaise with hint of fresh carrot.

2)Pancakes with carrot, mint, and golden raisin salad.

The subtle mint taste brightened the carrot and was offset nicely by the sweet of raisin.

3) Pancakes covered in carrot syrup and garnished with carrot dust.

The syrup was decent, but the carrot dust was dried carrot that had no essence or taste.

4) Pancakes with Apple, Mango, and Carrot Compote.

Warm, spiced compote, could have been served wih a Thanksgiving turkey. Excellent.

In addition we had a side order of the Chicken Apple Sausage. Very nice, hint of cinnamon and bursting with granny smith essence.

Again, a bit expensive as everyone seems to note (35 bucks for 2), but the place is packed.
