Brunch at Les Relais

We had brunch on Sunday at Les Relais in Great Falls, VA. and really enjoyed the 2 hour plus experience. The food consists of Yannick Cam's generally wonderful French creations. The deal here, though, is that this is a 3-course prix fixe arrangement for $35 (though there are quite a few appetizers and entrees that carry supplements ranging from abuot $4 to $8). I started with a quite delicious (and perfectly cooked) rissoto with roasted lobster on the side (this carried a supplement) and followed that with soft shell crabs, in a sherry vinegar sauce. For dessert I had an excellent fruit gratin. This is a very good value indeed, considering the ala carte prices listed on the daily menu. We would certainly go again, though it's a hike from DC. (It's in a small shopping center at the intersection of Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) and Route 193 (Georgetown Pike). If you go, go soon. There were only 5 tables occupied while we were there (from noon until a bit after 2 PM). It's unclear to me how they can make any money at that rate.
