I had the Rabbit Tenderloin appetizer while he had fried Quail with Foie Gras. My entree was the grilled Pompano and he had the seafood platter which featured
a filet of Black Drum, topped with three large broiled shrimp in a Lime-Cilantro sauce. The accompaniments were two different baked Oysters, a ramekin of lump Crabmeat in a gratin topped with a creamy sauce, a token (2 shrimp) Shrimp Cocktail and a side of Ratatouille.
We started with a couple of Bloody Mary's while we attacked the bread, then we drank a red Cotes De Rhone with the appetizers and entrees and topped off with the Creme Brulee, coffee and Calvados. OH, MY GOD!
Woke up the next morning, drank coffee and read the paper, saw that Brightsen's was in the Top 10 in new Oreleans. Richly deserved honor.
