Breakfast in SF

Very cheap hotel prices in SF on Priceline lead to breakfast (brunch) at Postrio on Sunday AM. The room is more inviting in the day with lovely views of the small garen at the rear. The menu has about twenty items half of which are deemed appetizers. Prices run from $11-20. A small basket of baked goodies, miniature pain chocolate, croissant, muffins is a nice opening move. The menu includes both breakfast and lunch items. We tried the smoked salmon and lobster w/ marscopone scrambled eggs. Both were nice (not spectucular). The fried potatoes tasted vaguely mettalic and the salmon was cut too thickly and oily.
However, the ambience was fabulous and the service was
first rate.
Anyway, it's a place to keep in mind if you have a couple of hours to spare and a few bucks to spend.
