A friend and I have been breakfasting once every couple of months at Campton Place. We are now less than pleased with the place. It's gotten more expensive, we don't like the dining room decor (too stiff and boring looking) and the food is not as good. A weird complaint is that the booths are upholstered in a velvety fabric which catches on your clothes as you slide in and makes it very difficult to get into the booth.
In any case. We like Dotties but, when we used to go there it was often so crowded we had to wait and wait.
So we're up for new frontier! Any place in Ferry Bldg for a real breakfast? Not just a bun and coffee?
If not, any other suggestions? We like to stay in the downtown area as I come from Oakland and she comes from Ocean Avenue.
