I saw this restaurant reviewed in Main Line Today's weekly restaurant email, and we decided to go there for brunch this past Sunday. I'm so glad we did! The three of us ate:
- "Bacon Press Special" omelet with hickory bacon, potatoes, and cheddar, topped with salsa (really more like pico de gallo), came with potatoes and toast
- blueberry pancakes with a side of applewood bacon
- belgian waffle with a side of applewood bacon (kids' menu)
Everything was delicious - the bacon was cooked perfectly, not too crisp but not soggy. I loved the fact that my omelet was a thin layer of eggs rolled multiple times around the fillings, not a big puffy behemoth folded over the fillings (hope that makes sense!). The kids menu was pretty diverse as well. My only disappointment was with the bread used for toast. The "rye" bread was typical grocery store fluff, somewhat of a disappointment. We were also sad that we got there too late for the homemade cinnamon rolls.
The staff was efficient and very friendly. In fact, when we left, my 3yo asked if he could have "cookies" (there were bagged mini-biscotti by the register). One of the chefs was standing right there and gave him a bag on the house!
Great food, nice people... we'll be back.
