Just wondering, what is the bread like at SDLT, what with their baker leaving a few years ago to start B&R, then closing that.
To be truthful, I had never been, but having had their bread, figured that whatever else you ate, there was a great breadbasket. TC and I went last Sunday, using the Superbowl deal. It was exactly as I had expected, very good flavors in each dish, altho I was surprised at the emphasis on imported cheeses...but I quibble.
What surprised me was the mediocre bread basket. A slice of baguette (definitely not B&R quality) and a few half-slices of a white Pullman loaf. Really? For a restaurant known for their bakery? Just seemed odd.
