Oh my heart!

I was a little slow to get around to trying Bread & Butter, but now I'm hooked. In one week, I've had:

--Baguette, plain
Slightly crispy (not gum-lacerating) on the outside, perfectly fluffy on the inside, heaven with a little butter or olive oil.

--Croissant, plain
The way I remember croissants in Paris.

--Brownie
On the fudgy side, which is how I like 'em, and just sweet enough. Delicious.

--Palmier
Light as air.

--Pine Nut Tart
I'm afraid I gobbled it. I think it was probably very nice, but it didn't have time to hit the tastebuds on the way down.

--Cinnamon Swirl Bread
Nice texture, tight but light... a hint of egginess.

--Currant Scone
The way God and the Queen intended.

What I haven't had yet:
--Olive Bread
--Pizza Bread, a couple of flavors
--Muffins, various

It's located at 3346 Washington Street in Jamaica Plain. It's at the intersection of Green Street, which is the T stop you want. There are a few small tables, and thermos coffee. Closed on Mondays, but open from 7-7 every other day, I think.

It's been crowded every time I've been there, which is encouraging.
