Tried searching and browsing the board, and if this topic has already been addressed, I couldn't find it.
I'm just curious about whether folks have tried the restaurant since its conversion from Bouley Bakery to plain old Bouley. We've had mixed experiences at both Danube and Bouley Bakery over the past couple of years (ranging from average to sublime) but a meal at the old Bouley in late 1995 was a transcendent experience ... that lunch (along with a lunch at Ledoyen in Paris the following summer)taught me how good food is supposed to taste.
Anyway, we're thinking about trying Bouley, but are nervous based on inconsistencies at the Bakery and also a bit put off by the negative press we've read on David Bouley - stiffing his suppliers, taking advantage of his staff post 9/11, etc ...
