Were in Montreal this weekend for the first time in many years and sampled your fine restaurants.
First day lunch at L'Express nice decor but food was pretty simple.
Sat night went to Laloux where the service was both friendly and professional. The servers were very passionate about their knowledge of food and wine. Ordered Steak with a very rich mushroom sauce which actually made the dish. Duck was a little over-cooked but with a very nice sauce. Cheese course was soooo good!
Sunday night went to Les Chevres where if I could eat like that seven night a week I would become a vegetarian. Went late Mon night and had a great experience. The flavours of each course just exploded in your mouth. Had rabbit and the asparagus main course along with a pea tortelloni and simple salad. Once again, great selection of cheeses. Great service.
Since both of us are in the restaurant business, we were very happy to experience the latter two restaurants. Had a great time in Montreal-will be back!!
