Someone I know from Boston took fifteen minutes off my life last night telling me how she will not try any clam chowder in Los Angeles because she's from Boston (yes, I know honey) and they have the best clam chowder there (yes, I'm sure sweetie) and nowhere in Los Angeles can compare (have you tried any here, darling? No, but I'm sure it's not as good).
So I ask you all, especially any of you from New England: where is there fresh, good, delightful, as-good-as-from-Boston clam chowder in Los Angeles?
Or is she right and should I just book us two tickets to Boston?
In short, can my Los Angeles gastrocentrism trump her Boston gastrocentrism? (Ooo I love big words.)
