Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. After reading luke warm reviews, this place provided a great dinner with great atmosphere.
Reserved in the downstairs Jazz Room, nice red walls, smooth jazz played live by duet. Every table was packed at 6:30.
Ordered glass of Cava, husband had martini, very nice.
Husband had the scallops app with mushrooms, he raved.
I had the soy-ginger glazed Chilean Sea Bass.. .Wow.. Was one of the best fish dishes I've ever eaten.. anywhere in NY or in my travels.. So moist, the sauce was sweet and tangy. Came paired with Chinese Broccoli and sticky rice.. Amazing.
Husband had the surf and turf, and a side of the cheddar croquettes, which he loved.
Dessert was molten chocolate cake for me and Banana tower for him... Both scrumptious.. Plate of brownies came with the check..
All in all, a perfect night, great service, great music.. Highly recommend it.. Not earth shattering creative dishes, but wonderfully executed plates..
