Went to BLT fish 1st floor last night.
Got there around 5:30pm which is opening for them. The restaurant was pretty open. Maybe a handful of tables taken.
The restaurant has a whitish walls with dark wood furniture and wicker chairs. Very New Englandy, with old maps of Cape Cod and other island destinations.
We started with the alaksan king crab legs. They arrived chilled with cocktail sauce and mayo on the side. A good half pound of legs arrived. Bordered on slightly rubbery but still good for $24.
My wife had the monkfish special ($24) which was prepared in a tomato based broth with mussels and clams. Very good dish. I had the flounder with lemon hollandaise sauce. Came with a side of roasted potates. Very tasty. The flounder ($19) was prepared in a brown butter sauce and was a sizeable piece. Very fresh.
We shared the berry bread pudding for dessert. Nice and moist. We both thought it was very tasty.
The waitress did not possess a full mastery of the menu, but was very friendly and went to the kitchen to ask questions if she did not know the answer.
When we left at 7pm the restaurant was pretty much full. I inquired about the 3rd floor and it is open. Maybe someone here has been and can comment. All in all, it was a good experience and I would go back again.
