Big Fish -- Princeton (longish)

I just came back from dinner on a Tuesday night with my soon to be 16 year old daughter. We are scoping out places to have a birthday dinner for her with a large group of her friends. I had eaten there when Big Fish first opened and had not returned and now I remember why. The service was ABYSSMAL!!

We waited over 10 minutes before anyone approached our table. Then we were never sure who was actually our waiter/waitress. Then all of our food came out at once! Apps, mains, ARGGH!! The person who brought the check was standing over me as I tried to read it over and fill in the tip as if I was taking TOO LONG! There were no people waiting to sit at our table! The restaurant was NOT filled to capacity.

I guess I should have spoken to the obviously harried manager, but I have other things to do with my time than figure out HIS management problems. So $60 later I know two things on this Tuesday eve. One, we WON'T be having the birthday dinner there. Two, I won't be returning unless I knew some WOMEN friends who were looking to meet guys in their 30's and 40's!! The bar and tables were swarming with them!! LISTEN UP LADIES, if you're in the "market" and near the "Market Fair", check it out.

Anyone have any input?

And can we PLEASE get a decent restaurant down here? I've been here 10 years now from NYC and I've just given up. Can just ONE of these people who are opening great restaurants in northern NJ just open ONE down here? I (and thousands of others) would be forever grateful. Listen up restuarant guys, THERE IS A TON OF MONEY DOWN HERE!!! Come and you will rake in the cash! Thanks. I just had to vent about that, my #1 Princeton pet peeve.
