finally made it to BESO last night in Park Slope. we split an order of duck empanadas (3 of 'em) and the cubano.
at first our server brought out a small plate of 4 little corn tortilla/pancakes, with a side of sour cream sauce. at first i thought that these might be the duck empanadas, and if so, i was prepared to be upset, because they weren't empanadas, and there was no duck... they tasted good though.
and thankfully our duck empanadas arrived shortly afterwards. they were nicely sized with a good amount of duck in each one. tastey.
the cubano was also nice and large. the pork was tender, shredded goodness. it was served with some very flavorful adobo-spiced root veggie fries.
the cost of the 2 dishes together was less than $30 and we both were happy and full.
there's lots of other interesting items on the menu which I hope to try... if anyone has any other recomendations for other good things to eat there it's always apppreciated!
