Growing up in N.J. back in the 60's I remember my parents going to the delli and bakery for the makings of some good Saturday lunches. At the deli, along with a variety of cold cuts and cheeses, they would get German Potato Salad. From the bakery they would sometimes get a form of rye bread called "corn bread". In s.w. Ohio, where I live now, what they call German Potato Salad and corn bread are a lot different than what you find in N.J.
I know this message board has covered bakeries and deli's previously, but what bakeries in the Bergan County area have good east european style corn/rye breads?
And does anyone have a good recipe for N.J. style German Potato Salad?
