I hate writing these kinds of posts but I need some recs.
My sister and I, both over 60, are native Brooklynites who grew up in Sunset Park but have not lived in the borough for decades.
Any time I come back to visit her in NJ, we do a one day way-back-when food run to Brooklyn. We drive to Faicco, Savarese, 5th Ave Middle Eastern, etc., those kind of places.
What I'm looking for is a casual, sit down, clean, old Brooklynish style resto for lunch in Bensonhurst or Bay Ridge.
No diners, Asian, French, Kosher, Mexican or yuppster 3rd Ave places please.
We would really enjoy a seafood place but Italian, American, Greek or Middle Eastern would be also good.
Would Tommaso's be a good choice?
If Randazzo's wasn't so far, we'd go there.
