Bellingham: Nuke-u-ler Fission Chips

Stopped in Bellingham for lunch yesterday and found a place called Boss Tweed, downtown at 400 W. Holly. Fish and chips is their specialty and I had the all-you-can-eat Alaskan cod with hand-cut fries and cole slaw. Very fresh cod, lightly battered, natural sized pieces (some chunky, others a bit flatter), very tasty. Although the initial order was generous, I had an additional two pieces (hey, it's AYCE). But that was my limit. The fries were awesome...my wife helped me and then couldn't stop eating them. Cole slaw was also very good...more vinegar than mayo which made it more to my preference...a little on the tangy side. My wife had an oyster po' boy which she pronounced pretty good, this from a person who does not tolerate breaded, fried seafood well. My AYCE fish and chips was $7.99 and her po' boy was $7.49. A tasty find for a sunny day's drive away from the big city and some pretty scenery along Chuckanut Drive.
