I fell for the crate of beefsteak tomatoes at Costco yesterday. I know it's way early for tomatoes, but this is Arizona and they were grown on an Arizona farm...blah blah blah. Despite their beauty, these tomatoes are terrible! The one I cut into this morning had something resembling a toothpick running through the middle of it.
Assuming the rest of the tomatoes are the same, I'm looking for something to do with these guys. I love roasting tomatoes, but I always use Roma or plum tomatoes for this. Will these tomatoes roast well?
Any other suggestions appreciated.
